About HKCFP Research Committee &
our Project: HKCFP-HKU Primary Care Morbidity Survey in Hong Kong

The Roles of Research Committee are:

  • to promote, facilitate, conduct, and coordinate research in family medicine and primary care;

  • to build up the steering role of the College to promote the research to the members; and

  • to build up a database of research reports from 1) the College research fellowships and research awards; 2) the College Exit Examination (research segment) to facilitate knowledge transfer to members.

We have been conducting various surveys in primary care (publications below). The current project HKCFP-HKU Primary Care Morbidity Survey in Hong Kong is needing more participants. The data from this study will inform primary health care resource allocation and priorities, service planning, and validate the content of family medicine teaching, vocational training and examination in Hong Kong.
